About Me

I’m a Calgary-based strategic communications leader and senior editor. I help organizations build strategy, tell better stories and create the systems that make it sustainable.

I’ve led editorial operations across newsrooms, industry and non-profits, doubling web traffic, driving newsletter engagement as high as 60% and earning recognition from the Alberta Magazine Awards and the National Magazine Awards: B2B edition. At the core of that work is storytelling that connects people to impact and moves them to act.

I’m a people-first leader who brings curiosity, calm and clarity, especially in difficult conversations. I care about creating environments where people feel supported enough to do thoughtful, ambitious work—and I bring that standard to everything I do. Mentorship is a core part of my leadership approach because it creates future equals.

I hold a Bachelor of Communication in Journalism from Mount Royal University and am a graduate of the 2025 Poynter Women in Media Leadership Program.

Creative Writing

Early in my career, I discovered creative writing as a space where I could play without constraints—no deadlines or word counts. My fiction has been published in Room, The New Quarterly, the Tap Press Read 1-3-5 Anthology, featured on Blindman Brewing beer cans and read on CKUA Radio. My flash fiction received an Honourable Mention in the Writers’ Guild of Alberta’s Pandemic Postcards Contest. I completed the Creative Writing Certificate from the University of Calgary in 2026 and am currently a working on a novel.
