About Me

I’m a freelance journalist and editor based in Calgary.

As a reporter, I’ve covered everything from a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a ghost opera to the latest developments in health care. I won an Alberta Magazine Award for this story and was a finalist for this one. My fiction and non-fiction have been published in dozens of magazines, a short story anthology and most notably, on Blindman Brewing beer cans. You can listen to me read my beer can story on CKUA.

I’m currently the managing editor of toast, a daily online publication that celebrates all the good things in life. We focus on positive, inspiring and helpful news that will make your day better.

Previously, I worked on staff for Where Calgary magazine and geeked out about our stories on CTV Morning Live and Global News Morning Calgary

When I’m not writing or editing, I’m going on adventures with my husband, Derek, and our spunky rescue dog, Mala.
